These terms are the agreement between you and … ("we", "us") when you buy or use the … software. We've written them in plain English on purpose. Buying the software, downloading it, or using it means you accept them.
What you're buying
… is a Windows desktop application that runs an AI assistant on your own computer. It is a one-time purchase of … — not a subscription. There is no recurring charge, and we will not bill you again.
Your purchase gives you a personal, worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to:
- Install and use … on computers you own or personally control, for as many of your own machines as you like.
- Use it for personal or commercial work. Anything you make with it is yours; we claim no rights over your output.
- Keep using the version you bought, forever, offline, with no license server to phone home to. If we vanished tomorrow, your copy would keep working.
What you can't do
- Resell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the software or your download link.
- Share your copy with people outside your household or organization, or publish it anywhere.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or crack the software, except where the law expressly says you may, and except for the open-source components — those come with their own permissions (see open-source licenses).
- Remove or obscure our branding, copyright, or license notices.
- Use it to do something illegal, or to generate content that harms other people.
Refunds
14 days, no questions asked.
If … isn't for you — it's too slow on your GPU, it's not what you expected, or you simply changed your mind — email us within 14 days of purchase and we'll refund you in full. You don't have to justify it, and we won't try to talk you out of it. Refunds go back to the card you paid with, and usually land within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
All we ask is that you uninstall your copy afterwards. Your license ends when the refund is issued.
To request one, email support@reevelocal.com from the address you bought with, or just include your receipt number. A human reads it.
After 14 days we can't offer refunds as a matter of course — but if the software is genuinely broken on your machine and we can't fix it, talk to us. We'd rather sort it out than keep money from someone we let down.
Updates
Bug-fix and improvement updates to the version you bought are free, and the app can check for them (see privacy — the check sends nothing about you). We don't promise a specific update schedule, and we may one day charge for a substantially new major version. If we do, your existing copy keeps working exactly as it does today.
Your hardware, your responsibility
… runs the AI on your graphics card. That means performance depends entirely on your PC. The system requirements on the home page are honest, and we'd rather you refund than be disappointed — but we can't guarantee any particular speed on any particular machine.
About the AI's output
The AI can be wrong. Every large language model, including the ones … runs, can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or entirely made-up information — confidently. It is a writing and thinking tool, not an authority.
Don't rely on it as a substitute for a professional. It does not give medical, legal, or financial advice, and neither do we. Check anything that matters. You are responsible for what you do with what it writes.
Third-party components
… is built on open-source software, and the AI models it runs are made by others and downloaded from their official sources. Those components carry their own licenses, which are reproduced in full on our open-source licenses page and inside the app. Your use of them is governed by those licenses, and nothing in these terms takes away a right that one of them grants you.
Payment
Payment is processed by Stripe. We never see your card number. Prices are in US dollars and don't include any tax your country may add at checkout. If a payment is reversed or charged back, your license terminates.
No warranty
The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your specific needs.
Some places don't allow warranties to be disclaimed. If yours is one of them, this section applies to you only as far as the law permits, and nothing here limits any consumer rights you have that cannot be waived.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the software — even if we'd been warned it could happen.
Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the software is limited to the amount you actually paid for it.
Termination
Your license ends if you breach these terms, or if you're refunded. We can't remotely disable your copy — there's no kill switch and no phone-home check — so ending the license means you must stop using the software and uninstall it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for future purchases. The terms you agreed to when you bought your copy are the ones that govern that purchase; we won't change them retroactively. Material changes will be reflected here with a new date at the top.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of GOVERNING_LAW_PLACEHOLDER, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer laws in your own country of residence.
